Green vegetables and blood orange on the nose. Blackberries, caramel and wet stone on the palate. Unfortunately, the tannins had dissipated and left the acidity to run the show, so despite the flavor profile, the wine felt very thin and weak in the mouth. I have had this wine 3 times in the past 4 months, 2 from the same case and none of the bottles had a wow moment. This wine may be past its peak.The history of chateau（酒莊歷史）：莊園起始于16世紀(jì)，起初為Rostaing家族所有；幾經(jīng)易手，一直到1919年被Otto Woltner購(gòu)買來(lái)。此后莊園的在其經(jīng)營(yíng)下，名聲大噪。特別是他的兒子-Henri Woltner，這個(gè)被后世譽(yù)為“釀酒天才”的奇才，通過(guò)發(fā)明、采用最先進(jìn)的釀造工藝，大大提升其產(chǎn)品的質(zhì)量，讓其產(chǎn)品逐漸成為傳奇佳釀。因此長(zhǎng)久以來(lái)，該酒一直成為跟同產(chǎn)區(qū)的1855列級(jí)名莊里1級(jí)莊的Chateau Haut Brion較勁的最大對(duì)手。然而，1974年，當(dāng)這位天才過(guò)世后，由于其家族成員的糾紛，不得不將此莊園轉(zhuǎn)手出售給Domaine Clarence Dillon家族-這個(gè)經(jīng)營(yíng)著一級(jí)名莊、它們最大的對(duì)手Chateau Haut Brion莊園的家族。雖然從那以后，整個(gè)Pessac Leognant的兩大代表性名莊同時(shí)被一個(gè)家族所掌管，但是這2款佳釀仍然在繼續(xù)著“暗斗”……直到今天，仍然在繼續(xù)著。 |
